We meet at 7pm on the 3rd Wednesday of October, November, December, February, March and April. Our Installation meeting is held at 5.30pm on the 3rd Wednesday of January.

The Master led a well-attended Deputation from GKL4 to The Prince’s Lodge No.607.. After a short business meeting the Brethren and guests were treated to an excellent Burns Supper.

On Wednesday 6th December 2017, Brother Craig William McAlpine was installed as Master of the Lodge. His Installing Masters conducted a flawless ceremony and the Installation Meeting was followed bu an excellent Dinner in Grand Hall.
Blue Knights Charity Run to Robin House; - Sunday 16th April 2016
GKL4 4bike members A Strachan, B McConnell and K Pike supporting the Blue Knights charity run to Robin House. 5c and real Scottish rain but it was still enjoyable and for a good cause.

Col John L Kelly, MBE was installed as Master by his Installing Officers; Brother J.C (Ian) Hislop, PM & Brother Ian B Christie.
Brother K Pike & C McAlpine were installed as the Wardens.
The Master wishes to congratulate all office bearers and his Installing Team for a job well done.
On the 14th May 2016, our Master; Brother David B Vennard completed the Zipslide Challenge in aid of Prostate Scotland.
Our congratulations go out to the Master and the other Brethren from the Provincial Grand Lodges taking part.
Installation Meeting; Wednesday 2nd December 2015
Another fine Installation Meeting was held in the Grand Hall of Trades House where The Master; Brother David B Vennard and his Office Bearers were Installed for the ensuing 12 months.
The Installation Ceremony was expertly carried out by Brother Duncan D M McFadyen, PM & Brother Ian Christie, with Apron presented by Brother Joe Reid, PM.
In attendance was the Provincial Grand Master of Glasgow; Brother James C Peddie accompanied by his Immediate Provincial Grand Master; Brother Alistair Henderson. Accompanying the visit by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow was the Provincial Grand Lodge of Perthshire East, headed by the Provincial Grand Master; Brother Ronald W A Forbes and his Depute; J J Russell Logan.
Following the ceremony a celebration dinner was held in Grand Hall where the Master had arranged some excellent surprise entertainment. The Master was proud to have his 2 sons in attendance and a family affair was completed with the Master's Wife baking a magnificent cake to mark the ocassion
Four-Sail / Four-Bike 2015 (5th to 7th June)
The Bikers headed up to Skye on Friday 5th June, then down to Tarbert via Oban on the 6th and home on the 7th June. The weather did its best to deter the riders but they carried on through the heavy rain and winds to make it to Tarbert for an excellent meal at the Starfish Restaurant on the Saturday night.
Unfortunately, the bad weather proved too dangerous for the boats to make the sail from Inverkip to Tarbert so the 2 groups were not together for dinner as planned.
We will all pray for better weather next year. An excellent time was had by all as you can see from the pics below.
The Spring Golf Outing was held on Friday 5th at Eastwood GC.
A windy but mostly dry day produced some challenging golf and the winner on the day with 32 Stableford points was bro David McCracken. The others will no doubt hope to improve on their scores for the Autumn Outing, which will be held later in the year.
The Annual Dinner 2015, held at The Art Club, Glasgow on Friday 15th May;
Our Annual Dinner was held at the Art Club for the first time and hopefully not the last. An excellent venue with attentive staff and good quality catering was enhanced with fine speeches.

Golf Spring Outing
The Spring Outing will be held at Eastwood Golf Club, Muirshield, Loganswell, Newton Mearns, Glasgow, G77 6RX.
(01355 500280) on Friday 5th June 2015, first tee time; 2pm. there will be soup and rolls available prior to the round in the clubhouse and the cost is £35.00. Annual Dinner
the Annual Dinner will be held on Friday 15th May 2015 6 for 6.30pm at the Glasgow Art Club, 187 bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4HU (Black-Tie). Those wishing to attend should contact Brother Ian Christie SM. Tickets cost £42.00
Four-Sail
The sailing weekend is pencilled in for 13th/14th June, Those wishing to sail, should contact Tom Jessop PM, DM or David Scott PM to register your interest in joining the sailors.
Four-Bike
this has been arranged to coincide with the sailing weekend and as has become tradition, where the Bikers and Sailors meet up for dinner on the Saturday night. the bikers are keen to extend the weekend so the trip will be 12th to 14th June and will most likely be first night on Islay with 2nd night at Tarbert.
December 2014
On Wednesday 3rd December; brother Iain Macpherson was Installed as Master of the Lodge 2014/15. His Installing Master's were Brother David Vennard (Secretary) and Brother Tom Jessop, PM.
An excellent Installation ceremony was followed by supper in the main hall and an excellent night was had by all.
the Master expressed his pride in becoming Master of 'No.4' and wished to congratulate Brothers Vennard & Jessop for an excellent ceremony.

On Wednesday 4th December 2013, Graeme Campbell was installed as the Master of the Lodge. His Installing Masters were; Bro David Selbie, PM, Bro Duncan McFadyen, PM & Brother Ian Christie.

The Lodge Golf Outing will be held only once, this year and both the Thorburn Cup and the Fore Trophy will be competed for over one round instead of two. Event report to follow....

McNeill Morton 2013
This years match was played at Glasgow Golf Club, Killermont on Friday 28th June. The match was won by No.4 with 3 scores from 4 being totalled to give the scores. The Lodge would like to thank Glasgow Golf Club for the excellent food and condition of the golf course and also to our good friends from the Canongate for their great competition and sportsmanship.
Four Sail (inc 4-Bike) 2013
This years event was held on the weekend of the 15th/16th June 2013 to Tarbert. Sadly and for various reasons there was only 1 boat, this year so the numbers were greatly reduced. There were 4 bikers and 5 sailors who all enjoyed dinner and friendship at The Anchor Hotel, Tarbert.

The Annual Dinner 2013 was held at Trades Hall on Friday 8th February. The Principle Speaker who proposed the Toast to the Lodge was Eric Davidson who gave a funny and entertaining speech. The music was provided by 2 Artiste's from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. A great night for the Lodge with over 100 in attendance. The Lodge's thanks go to I Macpherson & A Bisset for their organising of the event and also to the Master for his expert Chairmanship with the event finishing right on time at 10.30pm

Spring Golf Outing, Cardross, 7th September 2012
Another great day of golf in the rain! The Thorburn Cup was won by D McCracken who narrowly beat C Macdonald to be the Lodge Champion for the second time in three years. The Lodge's thanks go to D Mitchell for doing a great job as Golf Convenor for the past 2 years and now he has passed the responsibility on to a new volunteer

Four Sail (inc4-Bike) weekend of 26th/27th May to Dunoon.
An excellent turnout of boats and bikes resulted in a most enjoyable dinner at the Argyle Hotel in Dunoon. Many pics posted on the private Facebook page
Spring Golf Outing, Caldwell GC, 25th May 2012
The Spring Outing had an excellent turnout and played in warm sunny weather. Many thanks go to D Mitchell; Golf Convenor for his organising of the event, which was a great success.

Foursail 2012 (inc Four-Bike);
The Annual Lodge Sailing trip will take place, this year over the weekend of 26/27th May 2012. The Fleet Commander (Brother T F Jessop) expects a fleet of approx 5 boats but with demand high, he has asked for a quick response from those wishing to sail in the event. The Boats will sail to Dunoon and dinner has been booked at the Argyll Hotel from 7pm.
For the third year the newly formed Four-Bike Members will drive to Dunoon (route t.b.a) and meet up for dinner with the Foursail at the Argyll Hotel also. There will be approx 6-8 bikes taking part with the posibility of 1 pillion for the first time.

Tribute to the Rat Pack, Alea Casino, Glasgow, Saturday 24th March 2012.
The Convener's of the Ladies Night, (which has been postponed to 2013) organised the alternative night out above. Those in attendance had a great night with a delicious meal and dancing the night away to the excellent Jim McMail who entertained us with his Swing Music Show. On Wednesday the 1st February 2012, the Lodge held it's Annual Dinner at Trades Hall. There were over 110 in attendance and the Toast to the Lodge was proposed by Brother Jack Glenny, PM of Lodge Greenock Kilwinning, No.12. Brother Jack had chosen the charities that would benefit from the Charity Raffle of a rare bottle of whisky donated by the Master. The amount raised of £1,136.00 was increased by the Lodge to £1,200.00 and £400 went to Ardgowan Hospice, £450 to Colonsay Parish Church & £350 to Coll Parish Church. The Harmony was provided by three talented Students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The Master would wish to thank Grooms for an excellent meal and the Convenor; Brother Iain Macpherson, Junior Deacon for his hard work in organising the event.

Our Master; Brother David Scott was given the great honour of proposing the Toast to; The Lodge of Edinburgh (Mary's Chapel), No.1. at their Installation Ceremony Festival in the Lower Hall of Freemason's Hall, Edinburgh on Tuesday 27th December 2011.

The excitement is building, all the preparation and anticipation is almost over and our Master-elect; Brother David H Scott will be installed as Master on Wednesday 7th December. The outgoing Master; Brother Duncan D M McFadyen, PM wishes to thank the Brethren for their support the past 2 years and looks forward to witnessing the Installation of the Office Bearers for the new term; 2011/12.

At the Lodge's traditional Greeting Meeting on the 16th November 2011, Brother David Hunter Scott was nominated and elected as Master for 2011/12. The Master wishes to congratulate Brother David and all of the newly elected Office Bearers.

The Social Committee have announced that the Lodge's Annual Dinner in 2012 will return to Trades Hall, 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow, G1 1UH on Wednesday 1st February 2012, 6 for 6.30pm. Lodge Autumn Golf Outing;
On Friday the 19th August, the Lodge held it's Annual Autumn Outing at Cathcart Castle Golf Club. Please note the report by the Golf Convener; Brother Douglas Mitchell;
We had 16 competitors. On the day Allan Stewart top scored with 32 points and I was second with 30 points. Overall I won the Thorburn Cup with 61 points with Craig Macindoe second on 59 points. Stephen Stoops top scored for guest with 37 points and Jim Hodge second with36 points. Andrew Stewart pipped his brother Alastair and Craig Gibson to the \Fore Trophy with 66 points against 65. Stephen Stoops was nearest the pin and Glenn Woolard was longest drive. Ian Christie occupied his customary spot!!!
The Master wishes to thank Brother Douglas Mitchell on another fine year as Golf Convener and congratulate him on winning the Throburn Cup.

McNeill Morton 2011;
On Friday 8th July 2011, the Annual Golf Match against Lodge Canongate Kilwinning, No.2 "The McNeill Morton Trophy" was played at Glasgow Golf Club; Killermont, Bearsden, Glasgow. A pleaseant day was had by all and most of the Golf was played in the sunshine. Un-fortunately for the Team from Glasgow, the Trophy was won by the Visitors for a second consecutive year. Congratulations go to the Team from the Canongate led by their Captain, Brother P Wallace.
Trip to Rosslyn Chapel;

Annual Dinner 2011;
On Friday 27th May 2011, the Lodge held it's Annual Dinner at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. A good night was had by all in attendance and a magnificant performance was given by the singer Bruce Davies http://www.brucedavies.com/. A raffle draw for a rare bottle of whisky raised £630.00 for Erskine Hospital.
The Master wishes to thank the Convener's for their efforts in organising the event.
Spring Golf Outing 2011;
The Outing played at Paisley Golf Club on Friday 20th May was well attended by both Members of the Lodge and their Guest's. The weather was very "testing" but a fantastic top Stableford score of 29 was posted by a Visiting Brother, who is in a commanding position to win the Fore Trophy. The Thorburn Cup is still up for grabs with 5 brethren all in contention for the highest score after the second round is played in August. The Master wishes to congratulate the Golf Convener for his organising of a great event.

Trip to Rosslyn Chapel;
The trip to Rosslyn has been arranged for Sunday 3rd July 2011. we will depart from Glasgow City Chambers at 10;30am expecting to arrive at Rosslyn at approx 12 noon. Please contact the Senior Warden for more details
The McNeill Morton Trophy (2011);
The Lodge will host this years Competition at Glasgow Golf Club, Killermont, Bearsden, Glasgow, G61 2TW on Friday 8th July 2011. This is the Annual Golf Match between Lodge Canongate Kilwinning No.2 and Glasgow Kilwinning Lodge No.4. The No.4 Players are determined to regain the Trophy on home soil.
Autumn Golf Outing;
This years Autumn Outing is to be played at Cathcart Castle in Clarkston www.cathcartcastle.com on Friday 19th August 2011. The format of the day is the same as the Spring Outing below except that the cost will be £40.00.
Rosslyn Chapel Trip;
The Junior Warden is organising a summer trip to Rosslyn Chapel. It will most likely be a Sunday and it is intended that a coach will leave Glasgow and take the party to Rosslyn Chapel. Then stopping off for a Sunday Roast Dinner on the way back. Wives/Partners are encouraged to attend also. Please contact the Secretary to indicate your interest in being part of this trip.

Spring Golf Outing;
This years Spring Outing will be played at Paisley Golf Club www.paisleygolfclub.co.uk on Friday 20th May 2011. Soup and sandwiches will be available from 12 noon and the first tee time is 1pm. The inclusive cost per golfer for golf and soup / sandwiches is; £35.00 (an evening meal can be arranged directly with the Club)
Four-Sail (inc 4-Bike);
This years Four-Sail event will be held on the weekend of the 18th & 19th June 2011. There will be a minimum of 4 boats leaving Inverkip and heading to Tarbert. Those who are interested in going on this years sailing should contact the Secretary. Those who wish to go with the motorcyclists should also contact the Secretary. There will be a minimum of 6 Bikers taking a scenic route from Stirling meeting up with the sailors for dinner in the evening. Last years event was a great success and we are confident that we can carry this forward with more sailors and bikers than last year.
Annual Dinner, 2011;
The details for this years Annual Dinner have been released. (Click on link to get the event flyer). The Dinner will be held on Friday 27th May 2011 at the Grand Central Hotel, 99 Gordon Street, Glasgow. 6.00 for 6.30pm. Tickets are only £40.00 each and dress is Black Tie or Highland Wear. We are delighted to announce that after the successful performance at our 2009 Dinner, Bruce Davies will be our Artiste and will perform 3 x 20 minute slots (worth the ticket price alone!) The Master and his Social Committee would wish that as many Members of the Lodge attend as possible and encourage them to invite a Guest or two.
Ladies Night 2011;
On Friday the 5th May, the Lodge held it's Annual Ladies Night. we hade 110 in attendance at the Glynhill Hotel. Our Charity Raffle was split into 2 with a special Painting Raffle, which was created by our own Artist J V Damari and our traditional Prize Raffle. We are pleased to advise that the Proceeds of both raffles raised £1,225.00 for Clic Sargent.
The Master gives his congratulations to the Convener's and in particular to Brother Ken Pike for all his hard work in making the event such a success.

December 2010;
On Wednesday 1st December, the Lodge held it's Annual Installation Ceremony. Brother DD McFadyen was re-installed as Master for a second consecutive year. Not all Office Bearers were able to be installed however, due to the severe winter weather, which prevented many Brethren from being able to attend.
The Master would like to extend his thanks and appreciation to his Installing Masters; Brother Graeme L Campbell PM (Depute Master) & Brother Ian Christie (Substitute Master) and especially all of those who made an effort in difficult conditions to be in attendance.
October 2010;
On Friday the 1st October, the Lodge held it's 275th Anniversary "Gala Dinner & Concert" in aid of The Mark Wright Project. Despite the current financial downturn, the Lodge had a healthy response from it's members and more especially our Sister Lodge Brethren and supporters who dug deep and attended in support of both our Birthday celebration & the chosen charity above. The event was expertly chaired by the Master (as always)

The highlight of the evening was the Concert performed by; Fiona MacDonald (Mezzo Soprano), Christina Dunwoody (Soprano), Jung Soo Yun (Tenor) & Inju Oh (Pianist) who performed a selection of operatic & musical numbers to the delight of the attendees.

September 2010;
The second Lodge golf outing was held on the 17th September. This year, we had a first time winner of the Thorburn Cup for the most combined stableford points over the 2 rounds.
The Fore Trophy (played over the 2 rounds by Guests & visitors) was won by Craig Gibson.
The Master would like to extend his appreciation on behalf of all the golfers to Bro Douglas Mitchell (Chaplain) Golf Convenor & Bro NMTM MacLeod PM (Assistant Secretary) Golf Co-Convenor for their excellent organising of both the Spring & Autumn Outings and for the McNeill Morton Match. 275th Gala Dinner & Concert; arrangements have now been finalised for this special event to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on Friday 1st October. Regular Lodge Meeting (wed 21st April); The Master broke from the regular cycle of degree work to have something different to commemorate our 275th Birthday. An entertaining "alternative" degree was written and performed by Brother Ian Munie & Brother Graeme Campbell PM (Depute Master).
275th Birthday Celebration Dinner; This event was held on Thursday 1st April 2010 (our 275th Birthday) at Glasgow Golf Club, Killermont, Glasgow. It was well attended by members of the Lodge only and an excellent evening was had by all. The event was expertly chaired by the Master, Brother D.D McFadyen PM. An excellent Toast to the Lodge was proposed in a most memorable speech by Brother D Selbie PM and a fine reply was given by Brother I.B Christie (Substitute Master).
The Master would like to congratulate the 275th Sub-Comittee on their organising of the Dinner and to Glasgow Golf Club for their fine meal and accommodation.

275th Celebration Dinner - On Thursday 1st April 2010 to celebrate our 275th Birthday, the 275th Sub-Committee have organised a special Dinner to be held at Glasgow Golf Club (Killermont) This is a private function to be attended by Glasgow Kilwinning Lodge Members only.
Gala Dinner, 1st October 2010 -The 275th Sub Committee are now finalising the details of this special function to celebrate our 275th Year. Confirmed so far is the date as above and the venue, which is the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow. This function is open to Members of Sister Lodges and friends, family & business associates of our Members.
